Best Buy Canada believes that coming to work is more than just a job—and an employee’s compensation is more than just a pay cheque. Total Rewards at Best Buy Canada encompass all the benefits and perks that an employee receives. Employees receive this introduction to their Total Rewards once they become eligible for all these perks. They also receive a similarly branded branded pieces throughout the year including an introduction to Total Rewards at Best Buy when they are hired, and a personalized statement of their rewards once a year.
To tie all these Total Rewards communications pieces together, an overarching Total Rewards wordmark and branding was developed. The Total Rewards look and feel is designed to work well with both the Future Shop and Best Buy brands, as the parent company often communicates to employees from both companies at the same time. A styleguide was developed to ensure consistent application of the Total Rewards brand. I have worked with the Best Buy HR team for over 5 years developing employee directed communications.
